The aftermath of the exposing of Greg and Susannah, and so far, Jessie has not said a word about it (well, to Greg and Susannah she has - she's said plenty, but not to anyone else). Most people have guessed, however, that something is not right, but no-one involved will say *anything* about it. That makes a change, I suppose!

Greg's in a right old strop which is blindingly obvious to anyone who sees him, but Jason, despite trying, isn't able get Greg to tell him what's up.

Katrina meanwhile, has discovered from Susannah, that Jessie is no longer cleaning for her. Again, Susannah isn't forthcoming as to the reason.

Jessie, for her part, has told Ron that she's not working at Susannah's any more, but insisted that she'd prefer to resign than tell him why! Ron, who's a nosey sod at the best of times, isn't pleased that something's happened of which he's not aware and he can't find out why! In an on-going effort to get to the bottom of it, he expresses concerns about the business implications: "I've got the image of the company to look after, you know". But it was all to no avail.

Jessie is still huffily strutting around. From the parade she heads towards the bungalow for another show-down with Greg. I notice she's *carrying* her mac today - it's probably in readiness to throw over anyone she finds half-undressed and in an embarrassing situation, which is probably quite likely in Brookie!

Anyway, she strides up to Greg who happens to be working in front of the bungalow:

"Have you told her it's all over?" she demands ('her' meaning Susannah, rather than Margi) and almost without pausing for Greg to answer, continues: "Are you leaving Margi?"

"It's not on the cards, no." [But is it in the Stones, I wonder?]

"She might leave *you* if she finds out. If I find out you're still seeing her, no matter how much trouble it causes, I'll tell Margi."

[Note to Jessie: he is! They've already had a session, today, whilst you were over on the parade. Mind you, that was on the basis of Susannah convincing Greg that you wouldn't tell Margi - ever. We'll see!]

Talking of Susannah, she's decided to take a holiday. Just her, the kids and Lisa. Oh, and it's *next* week. Presumably, we're expected to believe that the restaurant is doing well now, because last time Susannah's finances were mentioned, she was totally skint. And it means that Katrina (who is not invited), now has a free week for *her* intended holiday with Nikki. This wouldn't have been a problem except that Nikki has just been hired by Jacqui Dixon as a leisure attendant, whatever one of those is (*and*Jerome has too - things happen quickly, sometimes!) and Nikki's first day at work clashes with the holiday. Perhaps, this holiday is one of those things that just isn't meant to be, because Jason wasn't pleased either when Katrina told him (well, to be truthful, she didn't tell him - Jerome let it slip!). Fortunately though for Nikki, Jacqui was all very understanding about it.

Back to talking about Susannah (it's the last time, I promise) - she's apparently started divorce proceedings against Maxy, which is probably a cue for his reappearance before too long. I didn't think that she even knew where he was, which I would have thought made a divorce petition pretty tricky, or at least difficult to organise *this* quickly.

If there was a competition for stroppiness, Greg would be up against Ryan Musgrove, who is currently stropping for England:

"Look. I've got stuff goin' on, alright?", he snapped at Katie.

Whatever this 'stuff' might be, he wasn't very forthcoming about it. Vocal, yes, but forthcoming, no. Katie tried to wheedle it out of him but he ended up storming out of Bar Brookie.

The condensed version is something like this:

"I've screwed up <dramatic pause> *badly*. Some nights I can't even sleep, thinking about what I've done. I'm scum, spineless, too scared to stand up and speak and even face up to what I've done. They should have locked me up and thrown away the key."

Well, *I* won't argue with that! And you thought Luke was having a hard time? It's a cheery old place, Brookie, isn't it?
