We left yesterday's episode with Ryan responsibly calling the police on his mobile, following Harvey's 'confession'. Wednesday's show starts later the same evening with Ryan sitting in the police interview room. He asks DS Rose whether Harvey's been arrested yet.

DS Rose, however, is more interested in why Harvey's head, chest and arms are covered in cuts and bruises. He wants to know what else has been going on, for Harvey's accusing Ryan of assault.

Ryan looks totally bewildered. He's dumbfounded. Come on, surely, he couldn't have expected to get away without *at least* some heavy questioning on the attack?

Harvey, for his part, now has to convince DS Rose that his confession was extracted under duress. "Ryan Musgrove, he's mental. I'd have said anything to get him off my back. Anything."

Harvey admitted that the reason he wouldn't give a DNA sample was because he wanted "to make a stand" and also because he doesn't like the idea of "living in a police state". DS Rose points out that he could insist that Harvey gives a sample and that refusal tends to suggest that one has something to hide. Eventually, Harvey agrees. DS Rose then goes on to say that he wants to charge Ryan with Actual Bodily Harm and would Harvey be prepared to give a statement? Harvey's horrified and refuses point blank. He's afraid that if he did make a statement, then Ryan would attack him again.

Reluctantly, DS Rose then tells Ryan that Harvey no longer wants to press charges and that he's free to go. However, Ryan's given a stern warning on the basis that if he steps out of line again or even goes near Harvey, then he'll be whisked straight back to the cop shop. This threat doesn't cut much ice with Ryan: "Oh, you're good at that, aren't you? Doing innocent people for crimes they didn't commit." Yeah, well, you can't do innocent people for crimes they *did* commit, can you? That would just be silly!

Margi gets a phone call about the new job. Apparently, things are moving quicker than expected and she's being called to an interview at the end of next week. The interview is in London and Margi wants to take Greg with her for a few romantic days away. Margi is *absolutely* over the moon. I think it's fair to say that Greg *isn't*! He'd rather not go and says that he's got too much work on. How about taking Nikki instead? Nikki's in favour of this and so Margi agrees.

Greg excuses himself by saying that he's got to go next door and give Susannah a seeing to. Sorry, he's got to see Susannah - she's asked him to quote for some work. However, their moment of passion is interrupted by Harry's crying. An exasperated Susannah admits that she's finding it almost impossible to cope on her own bringing up two babies and as for Katrina - well, she just makes things worse!

Greg suggests that they should try to get away for a night whilst Margi's in London, providing that other arrangements can be made for all the various kids! Susannah agrees.

Joey went to the prison to see Luke, even though Luke had said he didn't want him visiting. They talk and eventually make up.

Rachel still hasn't told Mike about the pregnancy. Jacqui and Katie increased the number of people who do know by telling Megan. You can tell that Megan is Jacqui's sister (well, half-sister) since she's caught the constantly changing hair-colour bug. Those two get more like Mrs Slocombe every day - just without the constant references to pussies.

Megan talks Jacqui into giving Rachel an ultimatum. Either Rachel tells Mike or Jacqui will do it for her. Jacqui sits there, with the 'look' on her face. You know the one - the one that suggests that she's got the weight of the whole world on her shoulders. Oh, and I thought you liked all this responsibility, Jacqui!
