We're getting closer to finding out what Jerome and Leo have been up to. It would seem that the clues are pointing towards drug dealing (that'll be a nice new topic for Brookie, then!).
Jerome (talking on mobile): "That was good gear I got you last time. Yeah? Well, I tell you what then, mate, you do that next time you want some stuff."
Whatever the boys are up to, it's certainly raking in some dosh. Jerome's next acquisition seems likely to be a car, much to Mick's consternation.
Greg tried to prise Nikki's mind away from Luke by getting her to work on the extension with him. We actually saw the extension today! Mick volunteered Jerome and Leo to help too. Not that they were in the slightest bit interested though, until they realised that Nikki was there. When they discovered this, they positively leapt out of their seats.
Today's 'comic moment' involved Greg's mobile phone getting bricked up in the cavity of the wall which they were building. Now, don't tell me that you *didn't* see that coming a mile off! I suppose it gives a new meaning to the phrase 'telephone extension'! :-)
I do enjoy Nathan's sense of humour, now that he's allowed to show it. Jacqui returned a tie which he'd left in her flat on Friday night. Looking at it slightly quizzically, he quips: "Are you sure it's mine?" Hehe. LOL. Unfortunately, he's now realised that, that *isn't* the sort of comment you make to young Miss Dixon, who immediately took umbrage and walked out of his office. Now they're not on speaking terms. Ahhh! And you thought things were going so well, too.
Also getting the silent treatment is Ron. He told Anthea that he'd arranged for her to see a private doctor and that the appointment is. . . . today! Anthea looked horrified and phoned to cancel. Poor Ron - he's only trying to help!! To her credit though, Anthea, did manage to talk him round to her way of thinking eventually.
Luke Musgrove is still holed up in Number Eight. Joey's all for turning him in but Niamh doesn't want to. Luke, for his part, certainly doesn't want to go back, but then, I guess that goes without saying!
Apparently, he had planned to go to Dublin and had already made contact with Rose and Don. Now, if I've got this right, Rose is Niamh's sister who took Luke in when he was born. She and Don then looked after him until he was 12.
In desperation, Luke, having seen Nikki through the window, made to go and talk to her as he believes that getting her to retract her statement is the only hope he's got. Fortunately (for Luke, not us!), Joey stopped him.
And what of Matt staying at Bosco's for the weekend? It seems that we're not going to see any of this - it was just a ruse to get Matt out of the way for a few days. Shame! Kelly too, apparently is staying with a friend for the weekend. Another ruse. As was sending Ryan to Carlisle and having Alec go off in a strop. All very convenient for Luke's return, don't you think? Perhaps tomorrow, he'll wonder where they all are? Or maybe not. After all, he's got a few things on his mind right now!
