Brookside Page updated every weekend Week Commencing March 4th 2001 Ron determined to do whatever he felt necessary to protect his family after their recent ordeal decided to seek help from Jimmy, but Jimmy was shocked by his request when Ron asked to supply him with a gun . Instead of agreeing with Ron's idea Jimmy advised him against the use of firearms explaining that in his experience they only caused more trouble. Clint's concern over his brothers violent tendencies proved to be well founded when Robbie told him he knew that Ricky was responsible for the robbery at the Dixon's. Clint accompanied his brother when he set out to find him, and kept watch while Robbie gave him a beating. At first Clint believed Ricky deserved his punishment, but then he heard him claim Robbie was behind the Robbery. After hearing this bit of information Clint decided he didn't want to become involved and made the decision to leave the country, with this in mind he asked Katie to go with him to Spain. However Robbie was infuriated when he learned of Clint's plan to flee the country and was intent on stopping him. Marty tries to reassure Diane that he would find the money to continue the IVF treatment but was annoyed when she suggested borrowing the money from Brigid. Meanwhile Leanne's hopes of a romantic night out with Christy were dashed when it became obvious he only wanted to get her into bed. Also on Brookside this week Ron was disappointed when only Jimmy and Jackie turned up for his residents committee meeting, while Jacqui was surprised to discover she was a trustee of Susannah's estate. After recent events Jessie was adamant about moving away from Manor Park and Bev found lying about her marriage more difficult than she thought. Jimmy and Jackie had another furious argument as their relationship reached breaking point.
