Brookside Page updated every weekend

Week Commencing January 28th 2001

With Jimmy home Jackie was determined to put an end to Shelley's infatuation with her. Jackie took Jimmy along to Bev's Bar for a drink where she knew Shelley would be and ensured she saw them sharing a passionate kiss. Shelley now consumed with jealousy set out to get even and called round to see Jackie. Jimmy was just leaving as Shelley arrived and innocently let her into the house, she went upstairs where she found Jackie asleep in bed. Shelley undressed and climbed into bed with Jackie, knowing that Lindsey would return and find them in bed together.

Lindsey threatens ShelleySure enough when Lindsey saw them in bed she assumed the worst and threw a jug of water over them. Jackie was shocked by the rude awakening and disgusted to find Shelley beside her. Although Lindsey was furious, Jackie eventually managed to convince her that Shelley had set her up. Knowing that Shelley could still tell Jimmy about her night with Jackie, Lindsey later called on Shelly to sort her out. Shelley soon realised that Lindsey meant business when she forced her against a wall and grabbed her by the throat. Luckily Jackie arrived to break them up and Shelley packed her bags and left. Despite all the trouble Shelley had caused Lindsey still resented Jackie for coming between them.

DarrenDarren had a plan to thwart Leanne's blackmail attempt by beating her at her own game. Meanwhile as Mike and Rachel decided the only way to solve their financial problems was to take out a loan, Bev contemplated working for a living to ease her money worries.

RobbieAlso on Brookside this week when Robbie visited Mike it soon became clear he wasn't interested in his well being but only in making sure he kept quite about what really happened on the night of the crash. Leanne decided to continue her quest to extract money from Darren while Steve had a surprise for Diane and Marty.
