Brookside Page updated every weekend Week Beginning 20th June1999 After Sinbad's fall through Ron's shop window he seemed to have recovered, and visited his daughter Ruth in Hospital. Where he waited by her bedside. However Sinbad certainly hadn't forgiven Ron Dixon for what he'd done so it was not surprising that when Ron arrived to see how Ruth was that they start fighting again in the Hospital ward. On Wednesday Rachel had a chat with Sinbad in an attempt to try and get him to rebuild his life by spending less time arguing with Ron. After talking to Rachel, Sinbad decided it's time to set up a rival business of his own. Over at the Corkhills home Jimmy found Jackie cooking an evening meal and assumed that she had come back to him. However just as he was about to apologize, Jackie set him straight by telling him the only reason she's there was to do some cooking and wash a few clothes. A short while later Jackie seemed a bit calmer and sent Jimmy out down the park with William. Unfortunately Jimmy didn't return home after his walk instead he stopped of at Bar Bookie returning home late to a burnt dinner which ended up in the bin. On Friday Jimmy realized how stupid he'd been after a discussion with Sinbad, and begged Jackie to give him one last chance. As Jimmy and Jackie discussed their marriage they were both unaware of the danger William was in while playing in the garden. Jackie was about to forgive Jimmy when she called out to William and there was no response. The couple were horrified to discover their son had fallen into the pond face down. Jimmy's distraught and held a lifeless William in his arms while Jackie tried to get help. Also this week Magi returned to the close annoyed at Greg for not doing any work on the extension while she was away, but they tried to resolve their differences for Nikki's sake. As Nikki's court case approached she became concerned that nobody would believe her when it came to telling the truth in court. Luke was also feeling the strain as the big day approached as were most of the residents in the close. And Lastly Katrina experienced her first modeling assignment but found it less then glamorous. Meanwhile the disciples of Shad prepared for their trip to Glastonbury hoping to make a fortune selling their Shad merchandise. However during their trip away they were confronted by some German girls. At first they thought their luck was in, but were sadly mistaken when instead they became the victims of a robbery.
