Jimmy loses his temperJackie was so concerned about Jimmy's state of mind that when she had to go out she asked Lindsey to make sure he stayed out of trouble. Jimmy managed to sneak out unnoticed and believing he was still a teacher Jimmy went to Brookside Comp where he attempted to take charge of a class. The pupils soon noticed that Jimmy was acting strangely and tried to take advantage of the situation. The class was soon in chaos as Jimmy struggled to cope, so when a boy asked if he could go to the toilet Jimmy freaked out and hit the boy. Realizing he had gone too far Jimmy ran from the class and headed for the roof, where he contemplated suicide.

Jimmy on the roofMeanwhile Lindsey and Ray arrived at the school and were horrified to see Jimmy about to jump off the roof. The police were called while Lindsey tried to calm Jimmy down. The first Jackie knew about the drama was when she saw it on television while out shopping. Jackie rushed to the school where by this time the police had arrived. Jimmy became distracted when he saw her so a policeman seized the chance to pull him back from the edge. Jimmy was saved but later Jackie realized Jimmy needed expert help and agreed to have him sectioned.
