Brookside Page updated every weekend

Week Commencing September 10th 2000

JimmyJimmy's first day in his new job as cleaner at Brookside Comprehensive brought back to him fond memories of when he last worked there as a teacher. While the children were waiting for Karen, the new Deputy head to arrive Jimmy decided to take charge. Karen was far from pleased by Jimmy's efforts and he only managed to keep his job after pleading with her and telling her about his depression. Later in the week he ruined Kylies party after giving her an unusual present and telling her he thought Kylie was a stupid name. Jackie was very worried about Jimmy when he confessed that he had stopped taking his tablets and refused to listen to her advice. Bev offered to lend Mike some money and although he was tempted, Ron warned him that owing Bev money wouldn't be a good idea. Nisha had trouble coming to terms with Katie and Clints relationship

Jacqui and SusannahWhen Susannah asked Jacqui to be a witness at her wedding, she worried that Harry might suffer if Susannah continued with her affair after she married. Katie warned Jacqui not to get too involved, but Jacqui felt she must talk to Susannah. At first the atmosphere was quite friendly and Susannah even told Jacqui that her mystery lover was Darren, but when Jacqui questioned her morals and told her she feared for Harry's welfare, Susannah was furious. After a heated argument Susannah banned Jacqui from seeing Harry. Meanwhile there was embarrassment for Max when he walked in on Leanne while she was having a shower.

Leo and CherylAlso on Brookside this week Sinbad managed to persuade Kevin to tell the police the real reason he made Andrew tell lies, and later when Sinbad called round to see Andrew he received a full apology from Barbara. Leo was devastated when Cheryl decided to end their relationship.
