Brookside Page updated every weekend Week Commencing August 27th 2000 Rachel decided to act on her suspicions and visited Kevin in hospital to see if she could persuade him to tell the truth about the allegations against Sinbad. Kevin listened to Rachel's account of how she was abused by her father, how Sinbad helped her through the ordeal and was now like father to her. At first Kevin seemed unaffected by what he had been told but later called round to see Sinbad. Kevin confessed that he told Andrew to make up the allegation of abuse, and although Sinbad was furious at first, when Kevin told him that he had been abused by his step father Sinbad sympathised with him. Mike had an offer of help from Dave's mate Christy while Kitty was determined to cause upset as she plotted to spoil Ray and Jessies wedding plans. Susannah confided in Jacqui about her feelings for another man and was warned to be careful. Later when Susannah decided to relax by watching a Carry on Camping video it had the opposite effect. She was horrified to see the taped confession of Emily instead, which revealed that she had been behind the vendetta against her. Also on Brookside this week Jimmy told Darren he no longer needed his pills then later burnt his shed down while Adele decided she couldn't manage without a computer. Sinbad's neighbours faced eating humble pie when he was finally cleared of all charges against him.
