Week Beginning 13th June 1999

Matt and BoskoThis week the disciples of Shad prepare for a spooky all night vigil at the ancient druid stones, but realise they need to offer something as a sacrifice. Tinhead picks Gemma’s hamster Fudge as the victim and secretly borrows him for the night without Gemma’s consent.

 

 

Ron and AntheaWhile Rachel finally decides to tell Mike she’s pregnant. Mike is delighted at the news and soon informs Ron he’s going to be a Grandad. Thrilled at the news he arranges a celebration. The following day Rachel finds out what day the baby is due, but when Sinbad gets to hear the news from Ron he is angry and upset that she didn’t tell him first. Meanwhile Ron and Anthea make a booking with the registry office.

RachelOn Friday Rachel decides to organise a surprise Fathers day party in a attempt to try and make it up to Sinbad, and asks Ron to look after Ruth for a couple of hours while she makes the preparations. However during Ruth’s short stay at Ron’s Great Grannies premises a tragic accident occurs. While Ron’s not looking Ruth picks up a bottle of lemonade containing bleach and starts to drink some. After drinking the bleach she burns her mouth and is rushed to hospital where medics fight to save her life. When Sinbad discovers Rachel asked Ron to Sinbad attacks Ronlook after Ruth instead of him and hears what has happened to his daughter, he is furious and blames Ron for the accident, and for ruining his life since the gas explosion. Annoyed and frustrated Sinbad takes his anger out on Ron and attacks him. While Mick and Mike watch in disbelief.

Also this week Jason has a decision to make about Miss Farris which could affect his future with katrina. However having made up his mind he arrives at her flat to do some odd jobs for her. Harvey provides a DNA sample and is eliminated from police enquires, as his reasons for not providing a sample in the first place are revealed.

While Greg and Susannah take the opportunity to spend some time alone together and get passionate.

Lastly Jackie has an emotional discussion with Sinbad who is also feeling rather depressed and lonely.
