Brookside Page updated every weekend Week Commencing July 30th 2000 After appearing in a TV advertisement with Katrina Max was totally besotted with her and decided to ask her out for dinner to celebrate their success. Katrina had other idea's though and decided to join Steve at a camping party, although Max managed to to get himself invited as well. When Max finally managed to be alone with Katrina and told her how he felt about her she was horrified when she realised he was serious about them being a couple. Max now feeling totally humiliated made a hurried exit. Meanwhile Rachel was distressed when Sinbad appeared in court but relieved when he was released on bail and even more determined that he would be Beth's godfather. Ron and Mike eventually agreed to let Sinbad be a godparent and although the ceremony went ahead, Sinbad was overwhelmed by the sense of bad feeling towards him and dashed out at the end of the service. Rachel later found him alone and very upset. The situation was made even worse when Kitty decided to start a petition against Sinbad. Sinbad felt the only possible solution would be for him to confront Andrew and ask him why he had made the allegations against him. Rachel told Sinbad although she understood his reasons, he shouldn't try to see Andrew as he would break his bail conditions.       Also on Brookside this week Leo was very reluctant when he became the focus of Cheryl's affections and a missing video tape was the cause of panic for Tim and Emily
