Brookside Page updated every weekend Week Beginning 30th May 1999 After Greg discovered some used condoms, down a blocked drain, he was hoping they would provide the police with evidence for Nikki’s court case, but it never occurred to him that the evidence he found could expose his secret affair with Susannah. On Tuesday the police said they intended to ask all the men who were present at the party to provide a DNA sample. Greg was horrified at their decision and discussed his concerns with Susannah, who saw the whole situation as one big joke. Greg knew that Margi would see no harm in him providing a sample because as far as she was concerned they couldn’t possibly have been Greg’s as she’s on the pill. Although Susannah tried to comfort Greg he still found it hard to relax even when sharing a bed with her. Meanwhile a nervous Jimmy had too much to drink while waiting at the airport, which resulted in him not being allowed to board the plane. After letting his family down once again, Jimmy was left with no choice but to return home, while Jackie went on Holiday with Lindsey. Jacqui prepared for her evening with Nathan, but was not sure where it would lead. The following day she told Katie that she was having a relationship with her boss but not before Katie embarrased herself by talking about Mr Cuddington unaware of his presence as he listened in on their conversation. Also this week Mick continued his struggle with his son’s drug dealing, but his accusations made Leo furious, when Mick accused him of getting Gemma involved with his drugs business. Luke appeared to be coming to terms with his family’s problems. While Joey and Niamh’s marriage seemed to be taking the strain of recent events. Meanwhile there was trouble in the Morrisey household when Susannah held Katrina responsible for Harry’s fall. When Jessie discovered the bruises on Harry's legs she soon became suspicious, and concerned that Katrina might be finding it hard to cope with Susannah's children. Lastly Rachel was feeling depressed when she discovered she was pregnant, in need of some support she turned to Katie for advice. While she decided whether or not she should tell Mike her news.
