Week Commencing 6th February 2000
This week Rachel tried to get Katie and Jacqui to resolve
their differences, and arranged for them all to attend the bridal fair
together. When they arrived Jacqui was annoyed to see Deborah had invited
herself along, and although Jacqui had no intentions of buying her dress
just yet, Deborah still managed to create a tense atmosphere, by making
comments about every dress Rachel picked out for Jacqui and said she preferred
to look at the more expensive ones. She also made nasty comments about
Rachel's wedding plans as she compared them with Jacqui's plans for a
big society bash. However it was not long before the girls were all arguing,
when Jacqui and Rachel realized they had booked their weddings for the
same day. Deborah told Rachel to make other arrangements causing Katie
to answer her back. Then Jacqui's turned on Katie, calling her a vindictive
cow.
Victoria decided to hold a wake for Mark
to celebrate his life. At the wake Victoria seemed to be taking an interest
in Dave's line of business as she headed off for the toilets in Bar Brookie
for an intimate night alone with him.
Meanwhile in the Bar Katie and Jacqui were having a slanging
match, after Katie accused her of dumping her best friends just like she
did with her baby. As the argument turned into a fight Jacqui slapped
her while Katie hit back and told her she's a snob. As Katie grabbed a
clump of her hair they start scratching at each other. With tables being
thrown about, it was down to Mike and Nathan to split them up.
Also this week Emily
stole Lindsey's handbag. Lindsey was disappointed to find Shelley with
Paula and decided to try and make her jealous by flirting with Max. Lindsey
later threatened to tell Susannah about their time spent together. When
Max offered Lindsey a shoulder to cry on as they had a heart to heart
Susannah jumped to the wrong conclusion, seeing them behaving so friendly
towards each other. Mick continued to worry about Gemma, while Mike struggled
to cope with Beth on his own.
