Meanwhile Mark struggled to come to terms with the loss of his mother and the thought of facing the rest of his life as an invalid. Victoria failed to help matters by saying some harsh words, which brought him to a decision. When Victoria returned home she found Mark had died after falling down the stairs. Jacqui also returned to the close where she couldn't wait to tell Katie all about her Christmas with Nathan.
