Week Commencing 28th
November 1999
This week Lindsey struggled to raise the rest of
the money she owed the Finnegan's, with only £9000 so
far she took desperate measures by emptying the clubs safe
to make up the £25.000 she needed. Now that she has
reached the deadline Lindsey was feeling very nervous around
Rose when she arrived to collect the money. Rose was not
happy with what Lindsey had to offer so called in her
brother Alisdair.
Alisdair took the money Lindsey had got so far as
compensation for all the trouble she'd caused, and insisted
the original amount she owed still stood. He then informed
her he would be getting a drug dealer for the club and
charge Lindsey £2000 a week for the privilege. Jimmy
couldn't believe what a mess Lindsey had got herself in and
when he heard about a drug dealer being involved he wanted
nothing more to do with her.
Meanwhile Max spent his time
trying to get a bit of romance back in his life. Susannah
cooked him a meal accompanied with some good wine, and all
went well until Max started talking about his affair with
Faye, ruining the romantic atmosphere. Susannah lost her
patience with Max and turned her attention towards her new
doctor who she had recently taken an interest in. While Max
tried his luck with Niamh by paying her plenty of
compliments as her flirted with her.
Also this week Jerome convinced Jessie to let him
move into the bungalow so he could try and help Nikki get
off the booze. Meanwhile Nikki tried to get the police to
drop the charges made against Harvey. Mike had a surprise
for Rachel, and Jacqui was determined not to let Deborah win
Nathan's affections.
