Week Beginning 16th May 1999

Greg attacks HarveyThis week Margi and Greg Shadwick were informed about Luke’s escape, leaving Margi concerned for Nikki’s safety. The following day Margi and Greg decided to meet her at the university but were told she’s already left with Harvey. With Luke on the run Greg soon became anxious to discover the whereabouts of his daughter, and decided to pay Harvey a visit hoping Nikki would be there when they arrived. However instead of finding Nikki they were shocked to discover Harvey has been collecting sketches of Nikki, enough to open his own Shadwick gallery.

Greg and Margi comfort NikkiThe family were later reunited, but Nikki was left feeling nervous knowing that Luke could be just around the corner. While Jason and Katrina decided it would be better to cancel their engagement party under the circumstances.

Meanwhile Ryan and Katie shared a passionate kiss but were caught in the act by Katie’s boss Nathan, who gave her a lecture by telling her not to mix business with pleasure. Katie was worried he might be able to tell that she had lied when she’d told him that she hadn't told the Musgroves anything about Luke’s case.

KatrinaKatrina went on a modelling assignment having arranged to leave Harry and Emma with Jessie. Unfortunately Katrina had neglected to tell Susannah this, so Susannah was furious when Jessie told her of the arrangements. Lindsey offered some advice to Susannah to try and get her to change her attitude towards Katrina, leaving Susannah to consider whether or not to patch things up with her.

Also this week Mick and Sinbad had a heart to heart about their past romances leaving Sinbad determined to make a fresh start. Later Mick has cause for concern about Leo, while Sinbad finally had something to smile about when he was told Ruth would be staying with Rachel while Mandy was away on her honeymoon. Meanwhile there was love in the air Nathan and Jacquibetween Nathan and Jacqui when they realised they both felt the same about each other, and on Friday they spent a passionate night together.

Tinhead started a fight with Matt over Luke but soon calmed down when he realised he could have a chance of meeting older women if he stayed friends with Matt. While Niamh faced an uncertain future, her concerns for Luke soon became a thing of the past.
