Week Commencing 7th
November1999
This week Nikki felt she was ready to take her
relationship with Jerome on to a more intimate level, and
decided to spend the night with him. After they shared a
pizza and a bottle of coke one thing lead to another. Since
the night of the party when she was raped, Nikki felt she
was unable to commit herself to another relationship until
she met Jerome. However her happiness was about to change
when the following morning Jessie found them in bed
together.
Meanwhile Emily's decision to accept Tim as her
boyfriend also caused arguments in her family, after Jessie
found them kissing. Both Jessie and Nikki felt Tim was to
old for her and were concerned about her seeing him. Jessie
was furious with her grandaughters recent behaviour, and
decided she should move into the bungalow where she could
keep an eye on both of them.
Later in the week Ryan returned from Scotland to
tell Katie all about his daughter Lia and his ex girlfriend.
Katie was disappointed with Ryan's conversation when all he
could talk about was Lia and Abby. Finally she felt she had
heard enough and asked him to leave. On Friday Katie turned
to Luke for someone to confide in. During their conversation
Luke asked Katie whether she'd made the right choice by
deciding on Ryan as a boyfriend, then prepared to kiss her.
Although Katie had got some feelings for Luke she was afraid
to take things any further with him as she risked hurting
Ryan, but was also concerned that Ryan may eventually return
to Abby anyway.
Also this week Jackie
received some good news when she was offered the managers
job at the petrol station. While Lindsey's friendship with
Shelley improved it seemed she had some unexpected feelings
towards her. Charlotte advised Darren not to dwell on
Victoria, While Nikki received an unexpected gift from
Harvey. Meanwhile Alec decided to try out a change of image
by joining the health club, buying contact lenses and a wig.
However his attempts to impress Jessie failed to have the
desired effect.
