Week Beginning October 10th
1999
This
week Max tried to convince Susannah he still loved her and
wanted her back in his life, but Susannah refused to believe
him and told Max to leave. Later in the week Katrina visited
Susannah taking Harry and Emma with her. During her visit
she told Susannah she no longer wanted to work for her, now
that she knew the truth about her affair with Greg. Susannah
was left to look after Harry and Emma on her own and
realised she might need Max's help after all. When Jacqui
found Susannah struggling to cope alone with the children
she decided to contact a social worker. However Max soon put
a stop to that idea saying that they were his children and
he would look after them. On Friday Susannah told him she
didn't want his help and to leave her alone.
Meanwhile Niamh organised a residents meeting to
discuss the problems Josh and his gang were causing, and
what could be done to stop him. However Jerome believed the
only way to protect the residents of the close was to use
violence, and decided to start by making a few petrol bombs,
hoping to teach Josh a lesson.
Also
this week Lindsey set up her own meeting with Callum and
Rose. Lindsey felt she had seen the last of Callum when her
plan finally paid off, but she was not fortunate enough to
be given an extension on the money she owed the Finnegans.
While Margi attempted to rebuild her life, but by the end of
the week she was taking her frustration out on the extension
with a hammer, as she smashed the patio doors. Margi felt
the reason she saw so little of Greg was because of the time
he spent trying to get the extension finished.
Lastly Victoria returned to husband Mark leaving
Darren to get on with his life, as he tried to get her out
of his mind. While Ron's remarks to Niamh about Luke were a
bit over the top, and he refused to give into the
developers.
