 Week Beginning September 26th 1999

Jacqui and NathanThis week Nathan took Jacqui to meet his parents, but before they arrived at his home Nathan made her walk with him through acres of farmland, where she nearly stepped in a pile of manure. After all the walking and Nathan's secrecy towards his family Jacqui soon got fed up, when suddenly he pointed to a big mansion called The Cuddington Manor, where his parents lived. Jacqui was in a state of shock when she arrived and thought he was playing a trick on her until later when she shook hands with Lord and Lady Cuddington.

Jacqui meets Nathan's familyAlthough Nathan's parents were friendly towards her it was clear they prefered his Ex girlfriend. As the evening continued she started to feel insecure when she was introduced to his uperclass friends and family, but there was worse to come when Deborah an admirer of Nathan's pinched his bottom and then assumed Jacqui was one of the waitresses. Eventually Nathan managed to reassure her that her background didn't bother him and that he still loved her. Words that put a smile back on her face.

Greg's funeralMeanwhile Nikki continued to drink alcohol as she struggled to cope with her dad's secret, but when Emily discoverd one of Nikki's vodka bottles she assumed it was Greg's and that he must have been a secret drinker. Later in the week the Shadwicks gathered for Greg's funeral where Margi started telling people what a good man he was, Nikki felt she could no longer keep her dad's secret to herself, and revealed the truth to Katrina.

SusannahAlso this week Matt and Bosko thought of a new money making scheme but their plans came to an end when Megan got involved. While Callum went in search of Lindsey, but when he couldn't find her he confronted Jimmy instead by telling him to convince Lindsey to give up the club. Sinbad received bad news when Mick informed him he'd sold the Chippie leaving Sinbad out of a job. Victoria also received disturbing news when her husband Mark revealed he had Motor Neuron disease, and Susannah's life hung in the balance when a blood clot was discovered on her lung.

Over at the Brookie Hospital Susannah awakes after a relapse to see her husband Max, who has grown a beard while away from the close. Since his return he's already had a run in with Jacqui concerning baby Harry and Emily. Susannah refuses to let Max anywhere near the children but is left with little choice over who to get to look after them, Either she leaves them with their dad or foster parents take over. When susannah is discharged from the hospital she takes full control over the situation and tells Max to leave, but will he, or is their still hope for their marriage.
