Week Beginning September
12th 1999
This week Victoria
and Darren shared some time alone together in the gents at
Bar Brookie, but were caught in the act by Victoria's
husband Mark when he walked in on them. Mark finally
realized their marriage was over after she threw her wedding
ring back at him in anger.
Meanwhile Lindsey was already regretting her
decision to try and kill Callum as she waited to hear from
her hitman. On Wednesday the waiting was over when she
realized Callum was still alive after he sent her a nasty
surprise. A removal firm arrived with a letter of suggestion
from Callum saying they could help her move out or he will
send an undertaker around for her instead. Lindsey was
scared witless knowing that he was still out there somewhere
and decided to try and terminate her contract with The
Millennium Club, then hid out at Susannah's house. However
it didn't take long for Callum to track her down, but he was
disappointed to find her so easily, and decided to start
with a few mind games before he introduced her to Annette.
Lindsey tried to reason with him but he was not interested,
he got Annette his heavy to give her a vicious beating
instead.
Leo and
Jerome were released on bail but with the police taking the
recent incident seriously, they were determined to charge
the person responsible with GBH. While Leo, Tim and Jerome
made plans to leave for Newquay, Mick warned Ron against
making accusations. Later in the week Ron was interviewed by
the police about the riot and had to convince Mick he didn't
say anything that would incriminate Leo and Jerome. Mick
soon had another shock in store when he discovered the Chip
Shop covered in racist graffiti.
Also this week Nikki
continued to drink alcohol to cope with her grief and had to
lie for Greg when Margi found a hotel bill for his night
away with Susannah. While Sinbad's trip to the doctors
brought bad news when he was told his hearing loss could be
permanent Meanwhile Matt and Bosko entered a new business
venture selling dodgy pagers but it soon lead them to big
trouble, and Nathan tried to convince Jacqui to keep hold of
her property on the parade.
