She sems to have come round to have a moan about Josh, but is looking forward to having her flat to herself once Rachel and Mike move out. She is a bit puzzled as to how they can afford to buy a new house though. When Ron complains he has a stiff shoulder, Bev offers to give him a massage. Ron willingly accepts her offer but there is a catch, once he is in a relaxed mood Bev asks Ron to look after Josh and his mate Bart. Ron reluctantly agrees, but wonders who Bart could be.

Gary Par has been invited to attend a social fuction, and wants Gabby to accompany him mainly to keep up appearances, but she refuses. Later she has a change of heart and surprises Gary by agreeing to go, and even dresses up for the ocassion.
Bev arrives at the Dixon house with Josh, and for Ron the mystery of Barts identity is solved, when he turns out to be an electronic robot. Bart is part of a school project, and Ron is quite impressed that Josh is involved in making it.

At the Murray house Marty is pleased when Jan arrives, but Adele isn't too happy to see her. Marty and Jan are soon chatting about how things used to be between them while Adele ( now wearing a very short skirt and revealing top ) squeezes between Tim and Steve on the sofa. They dont stay long, leaving Adele alone with her parents. Marty is keen for Jan to move in with him and the rest of the family, but Adele is dead set against the idea. When Jan leaves, Marty and Adele end up having a furious row with Adele threatening to leave. Jan returns and tries to reason with both Adele and Marty, but Adele refuses to listen and rushes upstairs to pack her bags.

Adele hopes that Marty will change his mind about Jan staying, but is shocked when instead he tells her to go instead. After Adele leaves, Jan tries to persuade Marty to go after her, Tim and Adelebut when he refuses Jan goes to look for her instead.
Meanwhile Adele has made herself at home with Tim at Jimmy's house, where she has persuaded Tim to let her stay. Tim wasn't too keen on the idea at first, but after they had a few drinks he changed his mind, particulary when Adele made it obvious she fancied him. Adele plans a romatic evening by cooking him a meal and then watching a video, but before long Tim makes his move and Adele soon forgets about her plans as they became very passionate on the kitchen table.

Over at Ron's house, Josh feels very put out when he discovers Ron has agreed to look after Beth as well. The situation isn't helped when Ron asks him to look after Beth while he does some paperwork.
A little while later Josh tries to ask Ron for some new batteries for his robot, but Ron is more interested in trying to find some envelopes in which to return some junk mail. When he finally decides to see what Josh wants, Ron is horrified to find that both Josh and Beth are missing.

With the passion over Adele is dissapointed by Tim's attitude, as he seems very cool towards her, and isn't intersted in having a meal or watching a video. Adele decides to take a shower, but when she returns Tim is furious to see her wearing Emily's dressing gown. During a heated row Tim shakes her violently and tells her to go and change. Adele is confused and asks why he is behaving this way after they had just made love, but Tim replies is was just sex, and it is then obvious to Adele that he was just using her. While Adele is packing her clothes, she discovers Tim's stash of drugs and after she has gone Tim realises she has taken some with her.

Later while Ron, Mike and Rachel are franticly searching for Josh, Jan has a phone call to say Adele is in hospital. When she arrives Jan is horrified to see Adele unconcious and on a vetalator, apparently she had been to a party and overdosed on drink and or drugs. When she does eventualy come round Adele isn't too pleased to see Jan, but soon realises how much Jan cares about her and decides that maybe she isn't so bad after all.

Josh turns up alone at Ron's house, saying he had just been to the parade to buy some batteries, but says he has no idea where Beth is. The police are called and Beth is eventually found alone on the parade. After talking to her, it transpires that Josh left her there when he returned to the close, but what makes it worse is that he cant see that he did anything wrong. He argues that Beth shouldn't have followed him there in the first place, but Bev is furious and tells Josh he will no longer be able to work on his robot, despite his plea that it wasn't his fault.

After they return from their night out, Gary is quite hopeful that he and Gabby will be reconciled, but she soon dashes his hopes by shutting the bedroom door in his face, leaving Gary to sleep on the sofa.

The next morning at the Murray house, Tim calls round to see Adele, and tries to apologise, but she leaves him in no doubt that she doesn't forgive that easily. However there is good news for Marty and Jan, as Adele isn't at all bothered when she sees Jan emerging from Marty's room that morning.
