  Week Beginning September 5th 1999

Leo and Jerome cause a riotLast week Leo and Jerome decided to get their revenge on Josh's gang for attacking Mick and Sinbad, Jerome arrived on the parade followed by a group of his friends for backup. Before Mick could step in to break up the fight between Leo, Jerome and Josh a full scale riot had started. The riot soon turned nasty when one of Josh's mates ended up seriously hurt, and left in a critical condition in hospital. Afterwards Leo and Jerome went missing causing great concern for Mick when they failed to return the following day. Eventually they arrived back on the close but faced the possibility of being charged with GBH.

Jimmy and LindseyMeanwhile Callum threatened Lindsey with an ultimatum she was given a week to give up on the Millennium Club and leave Brookside Close, or she risked her daughters safety. Lindsey was reluctant to give into his demands and turned to Jimmy for help, between them they came up with the idea of hiring a hitman to kill Callum, and Jimmy knew just the man to do it. On Friday they met up with the mysterious stranger.

 

 

NikkiSusannah woke up in Hospital where she got a visit from an angry and confused Nikki who demanded some answers from her, but Susannah just pretended her relationship with Greg was no more than just a fling. Later on Jessie also paid her a visit to ensure Greg's reputation stayed intact, by making her realize the full extent of the devastation she had caused. While Jessie and a reluctant Nikki agreed to keep quiet about Greg's affair for Margi's sake. Back on the close Margi was trying to come to terms with what had happened by keeping herself busy and painting over Shadwick and Son on Greg's van.

 

The Shadwicks at the funeralOn the day of Jason's funeral Nikki found drinking Vodka the only way to get through the day, but after having a few too many she struggled to keep her resentment towards her dad a secret and started criticizing Susannah in front of Katrina. Leaving Jessie to try and keep Nikki Quiet. Also Jimmy handed in his resignation at the school and Niamh received an award for her reading

 

A Brief Look At Next Week On Brookside

Tuesday 14th September- Leo and Jerome are released on police bail. While Lindsey regrets her decision to try and kill Callum

Wednesday 15th September - Sinbad worries he may never regain his hearing, and Callum sends Lindsey a package.

Friday 17th September - Lindsey is given a vicious beating by one of Callum's friends, and Mick finds the Chippie covered in graffiti.
