Week Commencing March 10th 2002
Anthony
Murray faced further humiliation at school this week when Imelda and
Paige confronted him. The teachers had so far ensured the two bullies
were kept away from Anthony, but this week after covering a security
camera to avoid detection they chased him along the corridor. After
following him into the boy's toilets they attacked Anthony by soaking
him with water before ripping his clothes off.
Diane and Marty were horrified and sought help from Max, hoping that
he might have some influence, now that he was a member of the school
governors. Later both Imelda and Paige were suspended after Mrs Plummer,
Diane and Marty saw footage from the CCTV where Imelda was seen covering
the camera.
Meanwhile
Jimmy landed himself in more trouble after leaving the close. Intent
on returning to Newcastle Jimmy sets off on foot along the Mersey Tunnel,
in the face of oncoming traffic.
Before long the police arrived, and after listening to his explanation
that he was on his way to see Ant and Dec decide to arrest him. Jimmy
made matters worse by head-butting one of the officers, but when they
realised how unstable he was, arranged for him to be sedated and taken
to hospital.
Once in hospital, Jimmy wasn't short of visitors as Bev, Nikki, Tim
and Steve all visited him. Bev and Nikki were genuinely concerned about
him but Tim and Steve were more worried about Jimmy telling the police
about the heist than his state of mind.
There
was a difference of opinion in the Farnham house this week when Jacqui
decided she has had enough of staying home and wanted to return to work
despite what Max thought. She was delighted when Rachel agreed to be
a childminder for Harry and Emma but Mike wasn't too happy with this
arrangement. Max was surprised to discover Gabby would be living nearby
and that she was married to Dr Parr, while Jacqui felt uneasy about
his new friend.
Also on Brookside this week Jessie tried to make amends with Ray by
offering to help search for Sylvia and Nikki decided to take up Emily's
offer of cash after all.
