Week Beginning July 18th 1999

SinbadThis week Mick returned to the Chippie where he was amused to find Sinbad obsessed with cleaning. While Mr Moore continued his search for clues. Sinbad felt he should tell Mick the truth by explaining how he felt the food poisoning scare was his fault, as a result of selling dodgy pies that he should have thrown away. Mick later told Mr Moore the truth and even insisted on sacking Sinbad. Although he had no intention of doing this he asked Sinbad to lie low for a while until the investigation is over.

Mr MooreHowever Mr Moore didn't give up easily and soon launched a full scale health investigation, which resulted in rumours spreading fast as the local people avoided using the Chippie. Mick blamed Sinbad for the way people were reacting and became convinced that his business would be closed down. On Friday Mr Moore had some disturbing news for Mick after he made a startling revelation.

Meanwhile Margi became suspicious and felt rejected after Greg resisted her sexual advances towards him. However she was later convinced that he might be trying to make their love life work after all, when she found a silky nightie in his drawer. However Jessie knew the truth and was dreading the outcome.

KatieAlso this week Katie felt unsure about Ryan now that she knew his secret and began to wonder whether she had a future with him. Ryan decided he needed to cope with his situation better then his dad had, but would need Katie's support. After talking to Jacqui who suggested she should finish with Ryan, Katie decided she should let him down gently. While Jacqui headed off on her diving trip with Nathan, Victoria and Darren, Mark said his farewells to Victoria.

Meanwhile Matt had come up with a brilliant idea, he had decided to borrow a computer from School so that he could continue selling the Shad merchandise. While there was good news in the Corkhill household when Jimmy was given his job back.

JasonLastly there was a shed catalogue circulating around the close with pictures of Katrina modelling inside. Jason was annoyed and embarrassed when he saw it, but there was worse to come when he found his chips wrapped up in a photo of his girlfriend wearing just a bikini. Although Jason was not happy with the article his friends certainly were.
