Brookside Page updated every weekend Week Beginning 2nd May 1999 Lindsey informed Alastair of Callum’s latest threats towards her. While Callum not being the type to give up easily decided to give Lindsey something else to worry about by threatening to harm Kylie if he ever discovered she took his money. Callum also started making snide comments towards Alisdair about how lucky he was not to have their dad around, to see how dictated he had become by women making Alisdair hit out at his brother. Alisdair tried to convince Lindsey that Callum would leave her alone from now on, although he turned out to be wrong. The following day she arranged to meet up with Jacqui and Susannah, so they could discuss whether or not they still wanted to be partners in the club. Jacqui was first to have a dig a Lindsey about how difficult it would be for her to get a drinks licence with Jimmy’s background, and stated she was a licence holder, knew how to run a club and so was entitled to half of the profits. After the meeting Lindsey unaware that she was being watched by Callum from a distance,was almost run down by him when she crossed the road, but he claimed it was all an accident. Meanwhile Katrina was left fuming after a confrontation with Susannah. The next day left alone with the children to look after, she soon found herself getting more and more stressed out, so when Harry bit her hand she lost her temper and was about to hit him when Susannah walked in the door. Joey decided to visit Luke in Prison, but seeing him so depressed made Joey miserable knowing there was nothing he could do to help. Luke had explained how he was afraid of getting beaten up by the other inmates. After Joey left the prison Luke’s worst fears were confirmed when he returned to his cell and was beaten up by two men and left in a bad way. Also this week Rachel decided to put the past behind her, by moving in with Mike Dixon, into the same flat where she lived with her husband Christian. Nathan the solicitor spent his time flirting with Jacqui. Leo decided he wanted to learn more about life even if Mick was not happy with the idea as he was concerned about Jerome’s increasing supply of money. Jimmy started a fight with Roger Abbot causing Karen great concern, who felt she should warn him not to take on too much at the school. Matt and Bosko were looking forward to a future of naked women, now that Matt had found a solution to making some easy money. Meanwhile there was bad news for Anthea after a visit to the doctor which left her in shock. While Ron had the all clear.
