Tin Dennihan was born in Pittsburgh, and was son of an Irish Kerry man. While growing up he moved around a lot, spending his summers in Ohio America. He also has family in Kerry and Tyrone where he spends most of the his time.

Tim is married to Jennifer who he first met at university. They have two children and will soon be celebrating their Sixth wedding anniversary. Jennifer is not an actress herself but is in the same line of the business. While back stage managing a production of The Crucible she met Tim who has always been very supportive of her.

School ( Career )

Tim has always wanted to be a doctor, and would love to work in Trauma. He loves the buzz you get from having to get something right and needing to get it right now. His best man at his wedding and his mother-in-law are both doctors.

His first experience of acting was when he was at its High School, although he had a poor singing voice he was still the prepaired to help backstage with the production of Oliver. As most of the boys at school thought acting was a girl's thing, Tim decided to join the cast to as a stand in, just in case there were any absences from the male volunteers. To his surprise he got the part of Mr Brownlow. He had so much fun that he also joined the production of My Fair Lady the following year.

He later put in an application for a university course in Indiana studying aerospace engineering, but soon realised this wasn't his kind of career, and graduated with a B.A. in English literature instead. Tim then went on to drama college performing in a play called Speed The Plough. The last play that he appeared in was in Chester, and a Brookside director who was on the lookout for new cast members happened to be in the audience. After a successful audition he got the part of a Darren Roebuck, the new Doctor in Brookside.

Timothy DeenihanApart from acting Tim also enjoys writing, cycling, and taking photographs. Tim would like to do all of these things if he had a time. As for the future Tim finds Brookside a good training ground and would like to do more television. As long as he continues to be paid and he's doing what he loves, he feels things can't get any better.
