Actor Profile Steven Fletcher ( Steven Murray )

Career before Brookside:

Before joining the cast of Brookside Steve had a few small parts in acting. He was an extra in Hollyoaks, during the time when they were filming in France, he played the part of a young french peasant boy. His french accent made him sound like someone out of Allo Allo. He also made an appearance in a film about the life of the footballer George Best.

Hobbies & interests

In real life Steven is a lot like Steve sharing similar interests, such as sport, especially snooker and football which he plays a lot. He usually has a game of footie with Philip Oliver (Tim O' Leary)

Love life

Steven is quite a shy person especially when talking to a girl on his own , but feels that most lads are probably like that. The type of girl he would fancy, would have to be like the singer Jessica Simpson, or Britany Spears. He thinks both are gorgeous and would love to have them living on the close.

Friends

When he's not working he spends a lot of time out with his mates, Philip (Tim O' Leary) and and Leon (Jerome) Tim has given Steven the guided tour of all the best places to hang out in Liverpool, and as they live quite close to each other they spend a lot of time round each others houses. This year Phil, Steven and Leon are planning a lads holiday together to Ibiza. They just need to all get the same time off work.

Life with the Murrays

Steven MurraySteven finds it brilliant working with his on screen family, and have found they have bonded together really quickly. He describes Bernadette as really down to earth . When he was younger he really loved the Nolans and was always dancing to "Im in the mood for dancing" at the local disco. Since joining Brookside he still finds it a bit odd seeing himself on TV, due to the fact that you sound and look completely different to how you would imagine. The first time the Murray cast were introduced they had a party. Steven gets recognised by fans when he's out on the street do tend to recognise him, he usually has kids coming up to him asking if he's the new guy of Brookie. Steven finds this quite strange, but realises it's one of the things he will have to get used to.

The future

For his onscreen character he would like Steven to become a striker for a football team, so that he could work and play his favourite sport at the same time. Or he could become a boxer but feels he would have to put on a few more pounds first, or he would be the worlds thinnest boxer.
