Actor Profile Mark Moraghan
While at school he was given lots of encouragement from his teachers to pursue his interest in acting by taking part in various school plays, before later enrolling at the Liverpool Theatre school. His first chance of employment was working with a pop band called Personal Column which later become quite well known in Liverpool. A few singles were produced by the band but didn’t really come to anything, so Mark soon had to make the choice between taking up a career singing or acting. Before joining the cast of Brookside Mark spent 12 years sleeping on peoples floors in London so was pleased to finally be based in one place, rather then having travel backwards and forwards to Liverpool every day. During his television career he has appeared in several television programmes such as London's Burning, Peak Practice, Real Woman and played a brief part as one of Harry Enfield’s scousers. Not forgetting his part in Brookside nine years ago as Karl Trevor and then two years later as husband Colin to Angela Lambert a hairdresser. Mark is a great football fan and so spends his time playing football and supports the Liverpool team. In his spare time he goes along to the football matches with Gary Mavers from Peak Practice as they are both season ticket holders. Mark and Gary became friends when they met while working on a play called Needles. Although he doesn't get a lot of free time he does visit the gym regularly and enjoys a beer with his mates.
